Welcome to Loubert Labradors

This site has been created to show off our beautiful black Labradors Retrievers and to promote the importance of responsible breeding.

I have had pet dogs throughout my childhood and am fortunate to be able to continue this into adulthood. My first dog was a yellow Labrador Retriever called Jason. He had all the lovely attributes that  are typical in this breed as he was a big softy who never stopped wagging his tail and loved nothing more than being with his family. He spent nine years with us but as always when we lose a family member it wasn’t long enough.

Later on in life when the time was right to chose another pet I vowed to make sure that I did all that was possible to find a healthy puppy who would have the best chance at living a good quality of life for as long as possible. So with this in mind I started to research the breed and educate myself about the importance of responsible breeding. This journey led us to a lovely lady, Hayley Brambles of Shaymiloney Labradors, now a close friend. It was Hayley who guided us and allowed us to welcome three beautiful black boys into our family, Louis, Gilbert and Eric.

These handsome boys are a joy to own. They have wonderful temperaments and are full of fun with a gentle nature. The great thing about the labrador is when they are well socialised you can take them everywhere with you. They love the beach, the park, the pub, camping and cottage holidays.

We are proud to present them in the show ring and have had excellent results at both Open and Championship Shows.

Gilbert was awarded a Championship level Best of Breed, Challenge Certificate, 3 Reserve Challenge Certificates and his Junior Warrant.  As a result of these awards Gilbert attained his Kennel Club Stud Book Number qualifying him for Crufts for life.

Louis has achieved numerous wins at championship level and attained his Kennel Club Stud Book Number qualifying him for Crufts for life.

Eric has placed at numerous championship and open shows; winning RBPIS at Labrador Club of Northern Ireland Championship Show. Eric has attained his Kennel Club Stud Book Number qualifying him for Crufts for life.

George, our latest addition, is the grandson of our beloved Gilbert who is sadly no longer with us. He’s a confident sweet natured chap who is full of fun and mischief. A wonderful, precious addition to our family.

It is always great to achieve successful results from highly respected judges and it provides us with the reassurance that if their conformation is correct then they are less likely to develop future health problems.
